Sweden beats Finland with 5 – 0 in the Euro 2012 qualifier and the order is restored. They might beat us on ice, but on grass we rule. The striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic secured the win as he scored a hat-trick and assisted the left forward Emir Bajrami who chipped the ball over the goalkeeper.

The photographer Tommy Pedersen gave you all match highlights in a live photo feed at Expressen.se who covered the game with full match reports including statements from both Swedish and Finnish commentators.

The head of Sweden’s main centre-left opposition party, Mona Sahlin, resigned after a historic low election result. This weekend at the Social Democrat congress she was honored for her contributions to the party. The newly elected party leader Håkan Juholt described her with one word: courage. Twelve minutes into the tribute speech Sahlin couldn´t hold back her tears and the farewell became very emotional.

After september’s poor election result, the worst since 1914, the Social Democrats hopes for a fresh new start.

What a week this has been!
This week has really been serving us with a number of highlights and many amazing photos. To name a few we have Marit Bjørgen who made history by taking three WC gold medals in a row. Petter Northug completely humiliated Marcus Hellner by slowing down and crossing the finish line sideways. Petter really is an impressive athlete and a brilliant showman!

Our Finnish friends Iltalehti and Ilta-Sanomat, brought us the Miss Finland 2011 gala. Aftonbladet, Expressen and DN took us behind the scenes of Mellodifestivalen.

But this week’s picture is when Canada took their first ever men´s cross country gold medal.

Devon Kershaw and Alex Harvey took Canada's first World Championship gold in men's cross country. Alex Harvey sprinted down Ola Vigen Hattestad and silenced the home crowd at the finish line.
